With the rapid development of China's economy, China's highway entered a phase of vigorous development.So far, the national high-speed mileage have more than 60,000 kilometers.With the development of the western mountain highway, the safety of Long and Steep Continuous Slope is aggravating.Research for alignment indicators of long and steep slope in mountain area, is of important value for design of long and steep slope and improvement of traffic safety. The theory of traditional road alignment design based on vehicle driving theory can barely satisfy the requirement of traffic safety and driving comfort, as the traffic amount increases.The thesis reviews the use of psycho-physiological indicators at home and abroad to research the road route from the highway traffic safety considerations, focus on people-oriented concept, applies the theoretical methods of modern medicine, psychology, physiology and experimental testing apparatus, uses self-designed virtual scene of Long and Steep Continuous Slope in mountainous expressway to carry on the virtual drive experiment in the driving simulation cabin, latter carries on qualitative and the quantitative analysis to the experimental data.Taking the driver's heart rate increase as the main indicated reference of psycho-physiological, the drivers'experimental data as the basis in the Long and Steep Continuous Slope, mathematical statistics software spss and excel as tools,this thesis analyzes the relationship between the heart rate of driver, vehicle speed,Long and Steep Continuous Slope alignment index. It establishes mathematical model of the driver's heart rate, the vehicle speed and the alignment index of different road section, discusses the different alignment index of Long and Steep Continuous Slope to the driver's psychophysiology influence,and comparative analysis conclusion obtained from driving simulator and actual driving theory understanding.The conclusions from the research show that:750m radius of is the critical point for the big radius curve and small radius curve,in the simulated driving conditions, road gradient has not an impact on the psychological stress of drivers;Drivers need to educated to improve their risk cognition when driving in long downslope,in the slope value is shorter than 1000m,to the extent of drivers of psychological stress and slope length will be positively related to each other. In the slope value is greater than 1 000m long, the driver's heart rate changes in a slow growth or decline 500~550m curved slope length is the most appropriate length of the curved slope and psycho-physiological burden on the driver is the smallest at this time.
