Virtual Instrument is the production of combining modern measurement technology with computer technology. Virtual Instrument represents the development trend of the instrument technology. The appearance of Virtual Instrument completely changed the mode, which is manufacturers define instruments but users can not, and is widely used in the field of Aeronautics and Astronautics.Bus is one of the keys to the formation of Virtual Instrument, now, the special bus applies to Virtual Instrument includes GPIB-Bus,VXI-Bus,PXI-Bus and LXI-Bus. The VXI-Bus has its irreplaceable advantages to other bus, such as flexible,easily integrated,high transmission rates,reliability and superior Electromagnetic Compatibility, especially, it is adapt to operate in poor working conditions. These features decide the VXI-Bus been popular in the field of Aeronautics and Astronautics.In the information age, signal digitizer is an important and essential part. With the development of Instrument Technology and the measurement object increasingly diverse, achieving the parallel measurement of several objects in the same environment is much necessary. So design and implement several-channel digitizer module based on VXI-Bus is particularly important for Aeronautics and Astronautics filed.The aim of this project"design and implement 16-channel digitizer module based on VXI-Bus"is to design several-channel and high-precision's data acquisition system, and achieve several objects'parallel measurement. In the process of research, the main work content includes the achievement of communication based on VXI-Bus,the design of digitizer module hardware,the complement of digitizer module control logic,the program of instrument driver and soft-panel. At last, we prove the feasibility and reliability of this module by experiments. This digitizer module use VXI-Bus technology,configure nine hardware register,design several message-based order , and at last achieve the communication between controller and module.In the basis of Bus communication, design the hardware of digitizer module. This module use plug-in design thinking which means the child-board and mother-board is relatively independent in structure so that the design is flexible. In electrical characteristics, transfer the control signal,data signal,clock signal between child-board and mother-board by plug-in device. The child-board is designed to achieve the signal conditioning of each channel, and the mother-board is to establish the public platform.In the software, the main work is to program the instrument driver and soft-panel, and achieve the module's control and measurement result'display which makes the module's performance from abstract to concrete and in favor of use's understand and operate. On the other way, program comprehensive and flexible soft-panel is favor of hardware performance's mining.Any way, in the research of this project, apply the VXI-Bus technology to achieve the communication; design the module's hardware to implement the 16-channel parallel measurement; program the instrument driver and soft-panel to complete the input signal's time measurement,frequency measurement,comparative display and so on. At last, several experiments is designed to prove the feasibility and reliability of this module.
