| With the development of the national economy and the huge demand for energy, construction projects of electricity are built everywhere, in which the thermal power plant are in the majority. Since its adaptability to technical demand and convenience for onstruction, the steel braced-frame structures are widely applied in large-scale thermal power plants in our country. But steel main plants have appeared in the years, the seismic behaviors research is insufficiently. And most thermal power plants of our country located in earthquake zone. Neither the transverse nor the longitudinal of the main building framework stiffness is asymmetric. So it is very necessary to do some research for the seismic calculation of the structure system to found and improve the weak links in order to enhance the overall seismic capacity of the main building.Based on existing research and analyzing seismic behaviors of steel braced-frame structure of a 2X350MW thermal power plant located in Indonesia, the main contents include as follow:The thesis analyzed the dynamic response of structure theoretically in elastic phase. Based on the analysis, seismic performance of the structure was evaluated and the unsubstantial section of structure was discussed and some useful suggestions of design of the structures were present.Some finite analysis model of the coal hoppers in main plant was built to study the behaviors under the load of coal or selfweight. A load loading-program was workout in ANSYS to transforme the shear force on the coal curved surface to the equivalent load. And some suggestions on the coal hopper design were presented.The connection types between the coal hopper and the main building were discussed in the paper. And three calculating models, such as supporting coal hopper, coal hopper suspending by steel wall and coal hopper suspending by steel suspenders have been built to study the seismic response and differences among the three models. Finally, suggestions on the suspending coal hopper design were presented, and problems requiring futher studies were discussed.Some design features of steel brace-frame structure are summarized in the paper. Combination of a main plant in Indonesia, the elastic design theory and non-yielding design theory under moderate earthquake are appeared in the paper. Some analysis of the main plant has been taken to study the response of earthquake with some design proposals given. |
