The subway construction project in Hangzhou is the largest investment, the longest period and the most extensive integrated urban infrastructure project. According to the Hangzhou city rapid rail transit construction plan which is approved by the State Council, the first phase of the Rail Transit project was requested to start in March 2007 and Line 1, Line 2 and Qianjiang New City part of the test will be completed by the end of 2011. Line 1 of the subway construction project in Hangzhou which is 58km and has 30 stations, a depot and complex base, linking the main city of Hangzhou and Linping, Xiaoshan, Xiasha. Line 2 (Southeast paragraph)of the subway construction project in Hangzhou which is 19.135km and has 14 stations, a depot and complex base, linking the main city of Hangzhou and Xiaoshan.According to the plan, the subway will be repeated across the Qiantang River. As a new way of crossing the river, underwater tunnel isn't risen in China for a long time and is mainly concentrated in Shanghai. Some related researches are mainly about the Geotechnical Hydrogeological conditions in Shanghai, So this research about Hangzhou is not many. In this paper, the Geotechnical condition of the river tunnel and hydrogeological conditions were studied, by in-depth field investigation and obtaining the first-hand information, indoor test, site test, data reductionand theoretical analysis. Also in the paper, the river hydro-geological and geotechnical engineering basic conditions of the Line 2 were identified. The paper summed up the corresponding design parameters and special test results and studied and analysed the seismic effect, basic geotechnical condition of engineering foundation conditions that may be encountered in the construction of hydro-geological and geotechnical engineering. At last, the paper put forward some relevant suggestions, which can be for engineering design, construction reference and works on a similar reference to a certain extent.
