This thesis briefly introduced the sources, the development and the status quo of TBM and segment erector. And it also elaborates on the finite element analysis techniques.A new segment erector has been found because of a confined space of small-diameter TBM segment erector. The virtual model of the segment erector and bearing has been found through Solid Works software. And the bearing analysis model is found through the ANSYS software. Based on the static, transient dynamics analysis of bearing in segment erector, the stress displacement change in various situations has been analyzed and the results of the analysis are evaluated. It should be possible that the use of ANSYS software for similar large-scale engineering machinery to carry out finite element analysis.In ANSYS, according to the symmetry of a bearing, a small portion of the finite element analysis model is established. The model can be broadened through the definition of the symmetry array and then it established the relationship in accordance with internal and external ring of bearing. The ANSYS software analyses the situation of segment erector under action of force and finds the weak parts through transient dynamic load analysis. It provides a basis for further improvement of the mechanical structure design.Based on above conclusions, the parameters model of the bearing in erector has been found and optimized. It draws a relatively economy to meet the requirements bearing structure.
