Shield machine is a kind of engineering machine that is used for underground excavation, which concerns of machine, electricity, hydraulic, transducer, information etc.The machine can also accomplish cutting.transportation of soil, erecting segment, measurement-oriented etc. It is widely used for subway construction, railway tunnels, road tunnels, municipal engineering, water tunnels and other works. As a key components of the shield machine, it’s main function is to support the surface of the tunnel when the shield machine has moved forward and the segment is assembled into a ring.The topic focus on modern virtual prototyping technology used in the field of design and development of the segment erector.The prototype design of the segment automatic assembly machine is completed by the trinity of modern new product development based on Pro/E/ADAMS/ANSYS Workbench. The main accomplished works are as follows:(1)Summarizing the development process.research and development trends of shield machine, introduces processes, working principle and the movement of the segment erector.According to the principles and basics of tunneling machines. I chooses the types of a new segment erector and design it.The entity model of mechanism is obtained by3D modeling software Pro/E and thus to establish the three-dimensional solid model of the segment erector.(2)This paper puts forward a new4-SPS/S-three rotational degrees of freedom parallel fine-tuning institutions according to the motion characteristic of fine adjustment mechanism of the segment erector.Through kinematic and dynamic analysis show that the proposed new4-SPS/S parallel mechanism can not only meet movement requirements of three finebadjustment Mechanism with transverse swing longitudinal swing and sway.but also has simple drive and steady movement.(3)On the use of the multi-body system dynamics simulation software ADAMS. Virtual Prototype model of the segment erector is created. At the same time a analysis between kinematics and dynamics simulation is made on it.which proves that the segment erector can achieve the motion of6freedom degrees and meet the design requirements.(4) The key components of the segment erector has been analyzed based on the finite element analysis software ANSYS Workbench.After studying the key components of the shield tunneling machine by virtual prototyping technology.a new type of small cross-section shield machine is put forward, which has significant reference value for developing such new products and has important practical significance to achieve localization of the shield machine.
