As important equipments in electric power industry, current transducers play a primary role for working well and calculating precisely in power supplying system. With the development of national economy, new high voltage level emerges continuously, and high accuracy of calculation and protection are demanded increasingly. It is an unavoidable trend that electric current transducer substitutes the old electromagnetic current transducer. The research searches for a new way of current measurement and borrows ideas from old current transducers, however the way we deal with the secondary current is different from others.The whole system is achieved as follows, the secondary current is coupled from electric network by current transformer, which is changed to heat by a sensitive resistor. Therefore the power turns into heat. The lifespan of fluorescent material's decay time is only affected by temperature. The decay of fluorescent material is sampled by AD conversion. The lifespan of fluorescent material's decay is measured by MCU. At last, we can measure the high current.The main contents of the research are as follows. At aspect of hardware design, we magnify the weak signal of decay at first. Secondly, we make the magnified decay be sampled by AD conversion. Finally, we can measure the high current with acquired data and math method. At aspect of software design, we analyse the decay signal through MATLAB and draw the picture of spectrum line of decay.
