This paper briefly introduced the basic principle and the development trend of induction heating technology. It introduced the two main topologies that are often used in induction heating power supply, and comparative analyse was made between the current source inverter and the voltage source inverter, and analyzed power regulating methods of induction heating power supply too. It can be concluded that power regulation in the commutate side in favor of enhancing the frequency and power level of high-frequency induction heating power supply. We chose uncontrolled rectifying circuit and Buck soft choppering power regulation method as the subject investigated. As the conventional hard chopper has the disadvantage of high loss, we put forward a novel Zero-current switching quasi-resonant converter technology which used in series resonant induction heating power surce. It introduced the structure of this novel chopper, and got its working principle by simulation method. At last it got the conclusion that this novel soft chopper is suitable for high power and high frequency induction heating power supply. What's more, it analyzed the principle of the inverter, designed the PI Power Regulator, and induction heating supply will power control problem into a Buck chopper voltage control issues.Because low frequency of IGBT devices, This paper presents a new inverter topology --through IGBT parallel to achieve multi-frequency, thereby, ensuring high-power induction heating power on the premise of increased frequency, analysis of its working principle, and its simulation, verification of the correctness of the theory, achieved the expected results. In addition, the design of a digital phase-locked loop (DPLL), the inverter always maintain in the power factor approximation for a state work, and power efficient operation. Finally, the analysis and design of the buffer IGBT snubber circuit.An induction heating power supply which used the way of multi-frequency was designed in the fifth chapter, the power of which are 150kHz and 10kW with the frequency 20kHz for the chopper and 150KHz for the inverter(IGBT operating frequency is 75kHz). The special DSP chip of TMS320F2812 that produced by TI Company is used as main controller of the power to simplided the system. The hardware and software of the power are designed. The experimental results showed that this novel soft choppering power regulation induction heating power supply reached the chopper and the inverter working in soft switching states which improved the effiency of the whole power supply and achieved digital system. It gave the whole blue print of the system, the Buck chopper functional block diagram, the inverter control block, drivering circuit and protective circuit, and the simulation and experimental results.Experiment results show the measure ane very effective and good effect is achieve.
