This paper designs a multi-patient 3-Lead wireless ECG monitor, which can simultaneously monitor 1-4 patients, including calculating parameters, analyzing arrhythmia, and displaying real-time ECG wave and results. Besides, we take into account not only accuracy but also real-time characteristic within the new algorithm of feature point recognition and dynamic multi-lead ECG parameter calculation. This system with high performance to price ratio can help the wireless monitoring technic expended from large hospitals to small and medium hospitals.We use PTR5000, which has high integration and strong function, as the wireless module. This module lowers the cost and reduces the power consumption. Application of USB interface makes the system convenience and flexible. The real-time monitor software uses multi-thread technic, which can guarantee the data reading, processing, displaying in time.Based on the modality characteristic of ECG wave, we make some improvement to the traditional feature point recognition algorithm, which is crossing-zero point of first order derivative. We find that the nearing-zero point corresponds edge of each ECG wave. This algorithm can recognize most peak point of R wave, starting point of P wave, starting and ending point of QRS complex, ending point of T wave.We summarize and analyze several kinds of noise and disturbance during monitoring. Besides, we provide the method to mitigate the effect. Making full use of multi-lead information, we calculate the parameters: heart rate, R-R interval, P-R interval, QRS duration, Q-T interval/QTc, ST bias. According to the R-R interval, average R-R interval, premature contractionrate, QRS duration calculated, we can detect 10 types of arrhythmia.By some experiments, we can see that the system has friendly human interface, the wave displaying has no distortion, and the system can continuously monitoring more than 24 hours. Meanwhile, the algorithm has strong anti-jamming and learning ability; the result is accurate. Because of the less amount of computation, this system can monitor many patients.
