With the more demand for energy and the less fossil fuel they become, finding a new energy that can be used persistently is to be the key mission for us today. Biomass Energy as renewable energy has been paid more attention in the countries all over the world. To study, exploit and utilize the biomass energy has become an important task for all the countries in the world, too.Biomass is a clean energy. The key question is converting biomass energy to the better status of energy if biomass will become the substitute for mineral fuels such as coal, petroleum and natural gas. Biomass, could be made use of for gas production by thermochemistry conversion, which is a kind of advanced technology. With this method, sustainable utilization of biomass could be achieved, which is beneficial to the environmental protection.The ordinary biomass, was comminuted into micro powder. The structural formula of biomass was indicated and the certain characteristics of biomass power were obtained through analyzing the proximate and ultimate component. As a novel technology, the method of air gasification in one reactor was pointed out. We adopted a novel technology, The characteristics of biomass powder air-whirlwind-gasification for gas production were studied in a series of experiments.In this text,some primary parameter were made an on-the-spot investigation. Such as Powder/air ratio,The size of biomass powder particle(﹤1mm),Consumption of Steam. Investigated the influence of these primary parametre on the result of gasificationg. Within the limits permitted by the condition of experimental research, The best heat value of gas that we got is 4915kJ/m3。The experimental outcome indicated: Under the circumstances of no additional heat source, Powder/air ratio is the primary factor of Air gasification. The air not only as gasification medicament, participating in the response of gas production, but also restricting the temperature of response if the powder feeding is fixed. And temperature is an important factor in influencing process of gasification; Steam supply can enhance the efficiency of gacification, And improve the heat value of the gas. But excessive steam will decreace the efficiency and heat value. The size of biomass powder particle also has influenced efficiency of gasfication and gas quality. Finally, We analyzed the ash of the gasification of biomass and find the there is much C in the ash, We judge react is not completely by the phenomenon.
