Along with the fast development of China's high speed railway passenger transport, the demand of MVB (Multifunction Vehicle Bus) products which conform to the standard of IEC-61375 (Train Communication Network) popularly used in Europe is increasing. As an important role in the IEC-61375 system, MVB card has a very promising future.Besides that, CPCI (CompactPCI) bus which supports hot swap as its most valuable character has a great improvement in industrial applications, and CPCI system would be widely applied in the industrial control field. Based on the analysis of MVB bus, this thesis proposes a design scheme of MVB card with CPCI interface and also gives the PCB design and implementation. Through debugging and testing, a card conformed IEC-61375 standard is produced.This thesis firstly introduces the development and application of MVB and briefly introduces the base knowledge of MVB. Then, the improvement of CPCI bus technology of industrial application is introduced. Secondly, the EDA (Electronics Design Automation) tool of hardware development is introduced, and chooses Allegro SPB as the hardware design Tool. Through the analysis of the software and hardware development platform, the whole design and implementation of the card based on ARM7 processor AT91FR40162, XILINX Spartan-II FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) XC2S200 and PCI9030 interface chip are given then. Thirdly, the hardware implementation of the card is described in detail, including hot swap power management circuit, CPCI interface, local function module and MVB bus interface. Then, the thesis introduces the PCB design and makes a reflecting and cross talk simulation. After that debugging and standard testing, it is proved that the card confirms to IEC-61375 standards, and then the application of the card in introduced. Finally the conclusion and the future work are discussed at the end of this thesis.
