The quantity of the heavy truck demands becomes more and more highly, the function of the heavy truck is more excellent, so the feasible tradition designs of the automobile drive axle housing already haven't satisfy the request that modern designs. The calculation analysis that the electronic computer appearing develops at full speed for the structure designs as well as finite element method after has brought about new revolution.Since the axle housing is mainly carrying and passing components of the vehicle, the axle housing function and fatigue life have direct impact to effective automobile useful time, the axle housing should have sufficient intensity, stiffness and well durable fatigue property. Therefore, the axle housing designs are also to improve automobile safety and the comfortableness importance rationally methods.The thesis has built 3D models of DA485 type's axle housing using PRO/E software. Drive axle housing has been simulated by FEA in the computer, included static analysis, fatigue analysis and modal analysis among them by using ABAQUS Workbench FEA and simulate platform, according to the national standard of drive axle housing tests. The result of Static analysis indicates that the perpendicularity intensity and fatigue strength of the DA485 drive axle housing is qualified. The crack stress for Drive Axle Housing of DA485 has been analyzed then, and the stress distribution and dangerous stress position are obtained meanwhile. The reason of axle housing high press has been analyzed by combining with the project example lastly, The ultimate reason of axle housing strain high leading to axle housing broken is welding seam unqualified has been found out based on integrating various simulation result finally. The paper has discovered improving the machining quality and paying attention to the welding of axle-tube and axle housing may improve performance and the life of axle housing effectively by attempting simulating or calculation, so as to save time and developing outlay for enterprise. |
