With the development of Science and technology,both the production and increasing standards of living will cause strong growth in energy demands,so the energy problem become one of the hottest issues in the nowadays and has become an important factor that holds back the economic and social development. The problem of energy waste on refrigeration system of cold storage is very serious in our country,so how to resolve this situation and improve energy efficiency has become an increasingly urgent practical issues at the present time.Introduced the non-destructive testing on insulation defect and heat transfer coefficient determination when compared to the ways of traditional measurements of heat transfer coefficient. Experiment has been carried on the cold storage structure defects and heat transfer coefficient verified,based on the MATLAB the infrared images were go through the histogram equalization and median filter process. Verified by experiments we could see clearly that the size and location of the insulation defects. Hourly temperature field and heat transfer coefficient has been measured and the experimental error less than 10% when compare to the design value,so the non- destructive testing can be applied to the maintenance of cold storage structure and energy-saving insulation defect detection.Because of the strong heat and moisture exchange in the gate of the cold storage which caused thick frost and dew surrounding with the door and the ceiling and also caused the increase in energy consumption. The paper esTablelishment of the equation of the air infiltration through the gate under the situation when air curtain exist or not,and calculated the actual heat load through the door and its energy consumption .This paper has used Visual Basic 6.0 Object Oriented program language to exploit the software of energy management. The software combines the Visual Basic 6.0 and Microsoft office products and can be preview and print the experimentation reports and realize the storage of real-time and historical data and can give a alarm when something is wrong. this can be greatly increase the efficiency of the management of cold storage and the ability to examine the faults of the refrigeration unit which esTablelishes a foundation on energy-saving of operation management in cold storage.It has a great difference between design load and the actual running load in the cold storage,the design load always in the condition of full capacity,so it's often cause a waste of energy when comes to the operation. Based on a cold storage of Chongqing to analyze the lacks inurrent widely used cold storage and pointed out the ways to improve the defect which it is better way to the energy conservation.
