With the development of information technology, there are more and more electronic devices which communicate with others by cables. Bluetooth, as an efficient and convenient wireless communication technology in small area, is provided on many devices to get rid of various cables. Now, Automobile has become very important in people's life. So we can provide the bluetooth technology in vehicle system to make people get more comfortable life. Through analyzing the specification of bluetooth system, and according to the features of vehicle system, the paper designs and realizes bluetooth technology in intelligent vehicle system. The bluetooth module includes file transfer unit, hands-free unit and synchronization unit.The implementation of bluetooth protocol stack is divided into low layer and high layer stack in this paper. The low layer stack including baseband and LMP is implemented by bluetooth chip. The high layer stack is implemented by host as the driver. BlueCore4-ROM chip is used in the vehicle system, which supports v2.0+EDR bluetooth specification. Windows CE 6.0 provides the good implementation of high layer stack. Its host controller interface can communicate with different bluetooth chips by RS-232, USB etc. A Windows CE OS image and SDK has been built for Bluetooth application development in this paper.The file transfer unit of vehicle system can get, push file and folder from remote device that connected. It also cans browse files in remote device. The vehicle system can as a client or service device.The hands-free unit of vehicle system can deal with the incoming call and place calls. The hands-free unit provides a rich user interface. Compared with the old hands-free device, it has more comprehensive functions, and is more convenient to operate. The phone book of hands-free unit has synchronization function, so the user can import the data of contact person from other device's phonebook.The bluetooth communication between vehilce system and other devices was tested and worked well. The vehicle system has already satisfied the interoperability requirements.
