With the rapid development of the automotive industry and electronic technology, a growing number of electronic devices are used to enhance the automotive comfort and safety, while at the same time the electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) issues of the vehicle's electrical system have become increasingly prominent. The strongest electromagnetic interference (EMI) of the car is from ignition system; therefore, the research on it has important theoretical significance and the value of the engineer. The main contents researched in this thesis are listed as follow:â‘ Analyzes the work theory of the gasoline engine ignition systems; studies the mechanism how the engine ignition system leads to electromagnetic interference.â‘¡Based on the analysis of the ignition system structure and components characteristics, an equivalent circuit model of ignition system is set up. Circuit parameters of circuit model are calculated by 3D electromagnetic numerical method. So the whole equivalent circuit model of ignition system is built which is the primary and secondary circuit to transmit the interference. The results of test and simulation proved that the method is effective.â‘¢The ignition system high-voltage wire which will produce radiation disturbance can been see as a antenna, then establishes the physical model of car and antennas to calculates the distribution of the electric field and study the influence on electromagnetic environment inside the auto from high-voltage wire position, length, frequency and the impedance load.â‘£Introduces the national standards of the automobile EMC test; in accordance with the results of ignition system test by Chongqing University, compares electromagnetic interference of on-board receiver coming from the ignition system with different measures.This paper systematically analyzes EMI characteristics of the ignition system, calculates the impact of the ignition system on the electromagnetic environment inside of automobile, and puts forward some advantage measures to prevent ignition system electromagnetic compatibility according to electromagnetic compatibility test. It will provide reference for ignition system electromagnetic compatibility design.
