Based on small displacement engine technology,some company simply increase the engine displacement to develop a bigger displacement engine, without considing the inertial balance of engine crank link, and ride performance and comfort is too bad, vibration problem of the motorcycle puzzles national motorcycle manufacture enterprise for a long time. So how to reduce the vibration of motorcycle engine is a key issue of increasing performance and quality of motorcycle. As engine is the main vibration motivation , the main way to reduce the vibration of motocycle is inertial force and moment balance of engine crank link decrease engine vibration motivation .engine is the main way to solve the vibration problem of the motorcycle.Supported by the project of reduce engine vibration of the LONCIN INDUSTRIAL CO.,LTD., a crank link inertial balance shaft of the 163FML engine has been designed , CAE and experiment analysis show a good result of reducing engine vibration. And more work have been done as follows:1. The characteristic of the crank link mechanism of the motorcycle single-cylinder engine has been analyzed, a dual-mass model of engine crank link has been established and the engine crank link inertia force and moment formula has been deduced.2. Supported by the motorcycle engine vibration reduce project of the LONCIN INDUSTRIAL CO.,LTD , a single inertial balance shaft has been designed.3. A dynamic model of a single inertial balance shaft of engine crank link has been built, based on ADAMS sofware, inertial force of the cank link with inertial balance shaft has been caculated, and results shown that single balance shaft worked well to reduce engine vibration.4. With and Without the single inertial balance shaft, the motorcycle ride performance and comfort has been tested, it is obviously to see that with help of single inertial balance shaft engine vibration reduce about 40%~60%.The research results of the thesis established the method of how to design, analysis and evalution the engine crank link inertial balance shaft.
