Due to large touchdown weight of large-scale aircrafts, the landing gears and airframe endure huge ground impact loads during landing and taxiing. So, it is extremly important to possess a suitable shock strut to reduce the over loading and to dissipate the vertical kinetic energy rapidly. A special adaptive shock strut with dual stage air chambers and metering pin bypass orifices are used to reduce airplane vertical acceleratior and achieve the improved landing and taxiing performance. In the former study of the shock strut design and dynamic analysis, the traditional method with a two-mass model was adopted and the results were calculated by the self-developed software. With the development of the computational multibody dynamics and virtual prototyping technology, the dynamic simulation of airplane and landing gear becomes gradually precise and approaches the reality. In this paper, the adaptive shock is designed with optimize model. Flexibility is also considered in aircrafts'fuselage dynamic performance analysis. This paper presented the mathematical model of the adaptive shock strut and the dynamic behavior model of the full-airplane during landing and taxiing. The digital landing gear and full-airplane assembly prototypings were established based on the large-scale dynamics software ADAMS. In this model, six bands symmetric modal is considered. Then the symmetric landing of the landing gear and the taxiing simulation of the full-aircraft were performed. Furthermore, the results of the dynamic simulation were discussed and some valuable conclusions were given. This research lays the foundation for the further landing gear design of the large-scale airplane.
