Paralleled twin-engine power equipment is one kind of the combined power equipments, which is one of the solutions to solve the insufficiency of power. One of the key issues is the power distribution between the two engines in this equipment.Based on discussion of the configuration and the principium of the paralleled twin-engine, each assembly model in the power equipment has been built, including the engines, the one way clutch and the gear-box based on the simulation software MATLAB.Based on the Fuzzy control theory and PID control theory, the Fuzzy PID controller has been designed to control power distribution average between the two engines. The whole running process of the power equipment has been simulated in MATLAB/Simulink, including engines start-up, idle, slowly running, power distribution, cruise and the utmost speed.The test-bed of the paralleled twin-engine power equipment has been set up. The control effect on the power distribution of Fuzzy PID controller has been validated, which shows the demand in practical situation can be satisfied.
