Research Of The Spectrum Analyzer Parameters Automated Test System

The spectrum analyzer as a kind of useful measurement equipment which carries on the analysis and the processing of the frequency domain signals. At present its application are more and more widespread, it can be used on several domains ,for example, it can be used to the measurement of the communication transmitter and the disturbance signals, the monitoring of the spectrum and the characteristic analysis of the electronic devices and so on.Traditional method of measurement and calibration to spectrum analyzer is time-consuming and effort-consuming. Sometimes the measurement results are affected by the operator. The paper mainly discusses on this problem and it refers to so many subjects, it is a comprehensive utilization of the signal test, instruments control, metrology, automated test, software programming and so on.This paper has set up a spectrum analyzer parameters automated test system making use of the equipments available and the test requirements after having studied on the fundamental principles of the universal automated test system, the hardware composition and operating principle of the GPIB automated test system,the methods and procedure of the automated test system software, the test methods and the theory of uncertainty of measurement. It also includes the test data analysis through the theory of uncertainty of measurement at the end of this paper.The fact shows that it is practicable to set up a spectrum analyzer parameters automated test system and it has realized the automation of the spectrum analyzer calibrating according to setting up this system. It can improve the work efficiency and quality of work highly, and it also can be improved on the accuracy and reliability of the test data, thus making assurance of the all kinds of indications of the spectrum analyzer.
