Spectrum analyzer is a common signal measuring instrument, which is one of the most common and important testing and measuring instruments in the design, debugging and production. The spectrum analyzer has many characteristics, and the characteristics are different, in its whole life cycle, they need to carry out metrological verification many times. Traditional spectrum analyzer manual metering, can’t meet the rapid growth of the number of instruments, but also can’t meet the growing demand for spectrum analyzer metrological technology. Therefore, it is imperative to build the automatic metrological system of spectrum analyzer.The spectrum analyzer automatic metrological system needs to start from the hardware and software two aspects. In hardware design, First of all, analyze the current market share of the spectrum analyzer’s work and index characteristics, select the appropriate instrument as the standard device; then, the connection mode of the traditional instrument will be redesigned for standard device connection with the "a connection, many use" way; finally, evaluate the measurement uncertainty of the standard device, verify its repeatability, stability.In software design, using the C# language, based on the.Net framework, the VISACom component is called. In the development process, the design software architecture is first to study the user’s needs and operating habits, and next analyze the structure of the instrument control instruction and index, design the system database structure, and then analyze the spectrum analyzer measurement method, the software module, thread and report generating function of the automatic measurement test, and finally verify the correctness of the software running.The automatic measurement system of the spectrum analyzer is complete, the system compatibility is good, the operation is normal, the error is controllable, the measurement uncertainty is reasonable, and it can not only meet the measurement requirements of the spectrum analyzer, but also meet the requirements of the metrology, and can be used in the actual metrological work.
