As a new type of transport system, maglev train adapts to high speed surface transport, urban transport and suburban transport. Industrially advanced countries such as Germany and Japan, the research on maglev technology has come into the stage of practical application, maglev train gradually becomes an important choice for future transportation system. So the research and development of maglev train is very important for our country to improve the railway technology and build a diversified transport system.This paper takes a HSST vehicle which is under the practical service application in Japan as the research object and makes key researches on guide principle. The purposes are to design a new maglev frame project base on remain the character of old maglev frame. Giving some theoretical basis and new thought of Chinese low-speed maglev train research.Generally speaking, the following work has been done in this paper:At first, guide principle of HSST maglev train was analyzed, module's equilibrium position when in curve was obtained and electromagnet dynamic guide force was calculated. Then, carrying out some analysis on the key technology of mechanism in HSST, a new maglev frame project is designed: Slide desk and forced steering mechanism are cancelled; bolster and suspender are designed; the lateral displacement between the body and suspend frame is equalized by the swing of suspender; and the air spring which is used in the tradition train, the disadvantage of the amount and volume about old air spring is avoid; Z traction mechanism is designed to transfer longitudinal force between body and new maglev frame. Lastly, the whole vehicle model including control system was established by MBS dynamics software SIMPACK, and some research on guidance technology of the new and old maglev frames was contrasted. The research indicates that the new maglev frame ensure curve negotiation ability of low speed maglev train, which has an important effect to the guidance capability, lateral displacement, yaw etc. and the performance between two different maglev train is compared.The work of this paper may provide a new thought in the design of low speed maglev train and give a solid foundation for the further research on this aspect.
