Condenser plays a role of cold source in the thermodynamic system of the turbine unit and is normally used to condensate the turbine exhaust steam, and establishes and maintains a certain vacuum degree at the steam exhaust opening, which can guarantee the normal work of the turbine unit. The operation of condenser has a direct effect on economical efficiency, security and reliability of turbine unit.Recently, numerical simulation is one of the important means to study the working performance of condenser. In the dissertation, firstly, on the basis of appropriate simplification of the working process of condenser, the mass conservation equation and the energy conservation equation were utilized and the numerical simulation model was established according to the working principle of condenser. Secondly, the area-averaged heat-transfer coefficient of steam side and cooling water side with coefficient formula from Nusselt and Dittus-Boelter were calculated respectively. The dynamic characteristics of the condenser with different algorithms were simulated. According to the simulated results, the better reasonable algorithm was selected. Thirdly, the empirical formula of BEAMA, HEI, Berman and division computation formula were respectively utilized to calculate total heat-transfer coefficient of the condenser. The reasonable empirical formula was selected by the analysis and comparison of the simulation results. Finally, the appropriate formula and algorithm were utilized to simulate the working performance of condenser. The impact of the inlet steam flow of condenser and the velocity, the mass flow rate and the inlet temperature of the cooling water on the steady-state and the dynamic characteristics of condenser were studied. Besides, the impact of the malfunction of the extractor on the dynamic characteristics of condenser was considered. The conclusion from simulated results provides some reference for the real time simulation of the condenser.
