Stiffened panel is the most popular structure style of hull structure. The analyzing of ultimate stress of stiffened panel can help to lighten weight and save material with the considerable reliability and duration. So as to raise the efficiency and economical performance of structure.First of all this thesis analyzed the advantage of CTSS (Combined Theory of Strength and Stability) on stiffened panel. The generalized tangent module theory which is generated from CTSS is more reasonable for expressing the relation between stress and strain of elastic-plastic period.Then this thesis analyzed the following mode of buckling of stiffened panel: buckling of plate between stiffeners, local buckling of stiffener's web plate, overall buckling of panel, beam-pole style buckling. The result was compared with rules of Classification.Based on the real stress and structure of ships, stiffened panel was simplified as complicate bending of elastic foundation beam. So that all parameters which affect the ultimate stress of stiffened panel are considered. We can find a more reasonable way to calculate the answer.
