To the protection of rock slope, the traditional engineering protective usually pursuit strength efficacy excessively, destroying the harmonious of natural ecology, making greening mountains and harnessing rivers gone for ever when the engineering arrives and substituting by hard cement channel, contrary to engineering revetment, ecological protection is not only economically feasible but also has ecological effect and landscape effect. This text makes Zha Xiao highway as engineering basis to develop the study of ecological protection of rock slope.At first, analysis the existent insufficient of protection of rock slope through the investigation of present protection of rock slope of railways and highways that had been built, the insufficient are using a lot of masonry protection, for example mortar rubble masonry pavement (facing wall), arched framework, retaining wall and so on, single and casualness in the kinds of plants of slope protection, less attention of ecological protection and poor landscape effects of slope.Secondly, aiming at the problem of single and casualness in plant of slope protection for the Southern shaanxi area, combined with field survey, put forward typical plant of slope protection for that region, for example, Alfalfa, Bermuda grass, Crown vetch, Ryegrass, Shrubby amorpha, Rosa multiflora, Pyracantha, Climbing plants and so on.Once again, proposed typical types of ecological protection that suiting for the Southern shaanxi area by analysising ecological protection for rock slope home and abroad and according to characteristics of landform, physiognomy, climate and rock in the Southern shaanxi area, for example, TBS vegetation slope protection, plant protection with concrete framework, technology of point grafting, anchor rod concrete frame and herbage protection, slope protection with liana and so on, guide the protection of rock slope of that region.Finally, at the foundation of original design, make the optimization of representatinve protective scheme of 5 rock slopes of Zha Xiao highway, aiming at lithology, slope rate, primitive vegetation coverage rate etc of every slope, make the specific optimization of protective scheme:containing protection forms and protection plant; make design and construction to 5 rock slopes by optimization of protective scheme, put forward design and construction requirement. By field investigation and analyzing ecological recovered situation of representatinve rock slope, comparing the cost of original and optimal protective scheme of representatinve rock slope, prove economy, ecological effects and landscape effects of ecological protection.The thesis puts forward the typical slope-protecting plants and the typical ecological protection that suits for the Southern shaanxi area, having important guiding role to ecological protection of rock slope in this area.
