As a new passenger model,the bus rapid transit system is considered as one of the effective ways to solve the problem of urban traffic congestion,which has advantages of small investment projects,short construction period,less pollution,higher transportation efficiency,and has been got successful promotion and application in the world.The study on BRT has just begun in our country and not formed complete theory system. At present,the study content mainly concentrate on lanes plan and design,road capacity analysis,operation&management strategy,BRT vehicle technology and practical experience at abroad,however the BRT intelligent management technology is not paid sufficient attention.This paper focuses on BRT intelligent system,which relyed on science&technology projects of Ministry of Construction in 2006: the study on BRT technology (06-K4-38), sums up the definition of BRT intelligent system,analyzes the designing objective of BRT intelligent system,concluds the function of BRT intelligent system,establishes framework and integration model of BRT intelligent system. According to the research and development of BRT at home and abroad,this paper studys several key problems including BRT vehicle positioning technology,signal priority controlling technology and travel plan organizing strategy technology,presents BRT vehicle"point-positioning"system and signal priority controlling system based on radio frequency identification technology,puts foward BRT travel plan organizing strategy based on Fisher algorithm,all of them can effectively promote operation management level and quality of service of BRT. Finally,illustrates the general specification of Dalian BRT intelligent system engineering design.This paper has certain reference value for the promotion and application of BRT in our country.
