The evaluation of the capacity and efficiency in dealing with pedestrian traffic flow in metro hub is one of the key problems in metro engineering and management. Unfortunately, there is almost no theoretical or technological support in engineering and theory, such as disability in estimating the mustering and evacuation efficiency of the station, little cognition on the relationship between passenger and traffic etc. Answers of above mentioned questions can provide methods to forecast the passenger "capacity" of both planning and existing hubs. The paper tries to answer these questions by discussing the pedestrian flow and its micro-simulation. This thesis comes up with a solution of dynamic simulation of the pedestrian traffic flow in metro stations. The solution resorts to VISSIM to carry out the modeling of the stations, the examination of the parameters in the transferring stations and the simulation of the pedestrian traffic flow.The paper reviews a detailed state-of-art of research on the passenger flows in metro hubs. It controls the behavior characteristic of passenger mustering and evacuation, researches the characteristic of both pedestrian and passenger flow, studies the relationship between passengers and metro hub and sets up a frame of passenger mustering and evacuating theory in metro hub, Then provide estimating guidelines of passenger mustering and evacuation in metro hub, including establishment transit capability, establishment service level, average delay time, average decelerate/waiting time, the queue length and the amount of people in fell, the cover of bottleneck time, the cover of bottleneck space, the comfort degree of mustering and evacuation, the efficiency of mustering and evacuation and so on. The discourse try to use Micro-simulation software VISSIM to simulate the moving state of passenger mustering and evacuation in metro hub, and apply it to actual example of programming FengZhongSi station of Line 10-2 of Beijing subway . This simulation succeed to manifest the character of interior people stream in metro hub and its spacing using circs, according to the guidelines of service level, average delay time, average decelerate time, the number of people in fell, we carry out to evaluate the capacity of the hub mustering and evacuation, the used method also has favorable simulation capacity and application foreground.The work in this article is experiment in theory. According to further research ,we can supply important theory in grasping the relations of passengers, transportation andenvironment , supply theory bases for pedestrian traffic flow in metro hub ,also cansupply more convenient and exacter technology method for plan-select of designingmetro hub.
