Composite beam strengthened by H-type steel is a kind of composite beamapplied in the project of structural strengthening and reconstruction. The structuralcomposite member is formed by connecting H-type steel beam with concrete beam byshear resistant connecting piece such as anchor bolts and structural glue. Because ofthe individuality of structural member style and shear resistant connecting piece, simple supported model samples have been designed and experimental research hasbeen performed to explore its working performance. Then on the base of experiment, the paper mostly research slipping performanceof composite beams strengthened by H-type steel under the action of symmetricconcentrated load. The paper, which refers the research technique of the routinesteel-concrete composite beam , analyzes slip effect of Composite Beams theoretically.the design formula of the interface slippage and shear stress are derived respectively. Then, the paper makes finite element analysis using a series of model which arethe similar as the real composite beam. By FEM analysis, the deformability andslipping performance of composite beam are studied further.,and rationalimprovement mean of shear resistant connecting piece is given.Research achievements proposed in this paper have been applied to the designand construction of buildings. Building practice shows that the experimental studyand design scheme are suitable and reliable. The study results may serve as referencefor similar engineering project.
