In recent 20 years, the application of the CFG composite foundation technology which was proposed by China Architecture Design & Research Group (CAG) academician Huang Xiling and was successfully development in 1992 by the Foundation Institute of China Architecture Design & Research Group (CAG) have rapid development in china. Under the condition of appropriate loads of the upper structure and geological conditions, the processing technology of the CFG pile of composite foundation can significantly improve the bearing capacity of soft clay with a smaller deformation of the foundations and it has won increasingly broad application in soft clay areas and achieved good economic returns and social benefits with the advantages of convenient construction, relatively low construction and testing costs and the significantly reduced project costs of the foundation.With the wide promotion and application of the CFG composite foundation technology, engineering technicians summarized a lot of experience in various links such as investigation, design, construction, testing. As a brittle, low-intensity, non tendons concrete piles, the successful application of CFG composite foundation in the soft clay to the high-rise buildings has great relationship with the geological conditions of the construction site, the local pile equipment, CFG pile construction technology, the quality of construction staff and the sub grade groove excavation program. Any negligence or ill considered of these factors can cause varying degrees engineering deficiencies of CFG composite foundation. Therefore, this research projects has a wide range of application and practical background and can provide reference for similar projects.Through specific engineering practice, This paper focused on the easier brittle fracture of CFG pile, from the investigation, design, construction to the entire process of CFG composite foundation on the quality assurance elements. This paper also discussed the difficult problems and their solutions encountered in the design and construction of CFG composite foundation and Particular emphasis on the construction quality assurance of the CFG composite foundation for the safety significance. At the same time, this paper compared the technical and economic basis of specific engineering design programs, and expounded and analyzed comprehensively the problems, which were encountered in the basic design process, construction machinery selection, construction method proposals and construction testing.
