Study On Plant-Landscape Of Main Road-Greenbelts In Shanghai

The road-greenbelt is an important part composing urban landscape and urban green space system, which can improve urban environment, shape urban landscape and make the city more beautiful. Road Greening is an important step for building Ecological City, while Shanghai takes the Ecological City as the aim. So it is valuable to study the existed plants-landscape of main road-greenbelts in Shanghai urban area, analyze its advantage and disadvantage, and discuss the orientation.The main roads of the Puxi inner loop-line range in Shanghai were studied in this paper, and 143 main road-greenbelts were investigated. Firstly it applies vegetation ecology methods such as community species composition, section character, style character, community quantitative features and population age structure etc., and analyzes the characteristic of the ornamental. Then it concludes the configurable modes of road-greenbelts landscape. Based on the through investigation and analysis, the situation and character of main road-greenbelts were educed and the suggestions of development were advanced.The indigenous plants of the investigative rages are lack, and the plant-landscape of road-greenbelts is similar, for a few species are applied abroad. The proportion of evergreen and deciduous plants was similar, but the species of conifer species were extremely few. According to the aspects of plant landscape development, the advantages of the age structure of populations were more stability and growth-oriented. The landscape effect of roads still need to be further improved.The application frequency of flowers and fruits was lower. The colors of them were not abundant. The main categories of foliage plant were frequently colored shrubs. The seasonal changes were not so obvious. We should increase the numbers and the types and frequencies of ornamental plants, improving the visual landscape effect. The main configurable mode was a single type of arbors and a road with two main greenbelts. The eight main configurable modes were more typical and universality.Finally, the paper summed up the characteristics and brought up some suggestions, trying to found the ecological and variety and beautiful landscape.
