Design Approach Of Public Facilities Of Historic Urban Quarters

This article conducts design approach of public facilities of historic urban quarters, develops and confirms a kind of design approach of public facilities of historic urban quarters. This approach can cause public facilities while to satisfy the utility function, also realizes esthetic function that is consistent with cultural connotation of historic urban quarters. Thus public facilities can better satisfy users'emotion demands to historic urban quarters.Through launching the research to historic urban quarters, this article is clear about the concept of historic urban quarters, the protection development of historic urban quarters, the protection significance of historic urban quarters and public facilities'functions in historic urban quarters. Through to case analysis of Chinese and foreign historic urban quarters, this article discusses protection method of historic urban quarters and public facilities'functions. Taking mature design approaches as the foundation, this article develops a kind of design approach to historic urban quarters- - Through collection of users'emotion to historic urban quarters; researcher tries to establish a path from collection of users'emotion to projects design. Researcher applied this approach in public facilities design of Liu Li Chang, thus confirms the rationality and the feasibility of this approach. This research is helpful in understanding vivid characteristics of historic urban quarters in people's hearts and the emotion demands, is advantageous to designers to grasp characteristics of historic urban quarters. When developing facilities design, designers' creativity can take user's feeling as a foundation, obtains maximum display in the controllable scope.
