The main objective of this thesis is primitive architectural remnants of Majiabing culture, Hemudu culture and Liangzhu culture heritages. As primitive architecture is the origin of development of architecture, studying its existing state in that period is the best way to clearly understand the architectural development context and tendency.Expounding two streamline of Ningbo-Shaoxing area and Hangjiahu area, this thesis discusses, during prehistoric period, the mutual impact between human and land, building technology development, and effects of grades skipping of human consciousness and idea. Based on studying and synthesizing prehistoric heritages in Zhejiang area, characteristics of prehistoric architecture are concluded. Processes and possibilities of the architectural form development in that period are also discussed in the thesis. All these studies contribute to a development order of architectural form and technology in Zhejiang area during prehistoric period.
