Microturbine Generation System(MTGS) has become one of the most significant distributed generations due to remarkable advantages.The microgrid provides a high efficient and flexible platform for application and promotion of the MTGSThe mathematical model and systematical structure of MTGS is discussed in this thesis.According to the basic principles on control and operation of microgrid,different control schemes are separately proposed in order to design the controllers.Meanwhile, the microturbine model and its power electronic components,as an all-in-one unit,are established and developed using the PSCAD/EMTDC software.The experiments on the grid-connected operation,the autonomous operation and ride-through mode are conducted in terms of the load and output variation when implementing differing control schemes under unintentional islanding mode.By analysis and comparison,the study shows that the PQ-Vf and PQ-Vf/Droop control strategy for MTGS can ensure stability of micro-grid and maintain voltage quality at required range,even during islanding transients.Therefore,the proposed integrated control approach is proved to be effective and reasonable.
