Characteristic Simulation Of Thyristor Controlled Series Compensation (TCSC) And Experimental Study

Thyristor Controlled Series Compensation(TCSC)is one of the most important FACTS technologies,which achieve the large-scale smooth adjustment of resistance by changing the trigger angle of thyristor.The paper introduces a transient mathematical model by using"topology"approach,studies characteristics of installation in response time,synchronous signal and closed loop control by means of digital simulation,also studies the function of TCSC as fault current limiter to increase wind power integration operation reliability in case of system side failure.Builds the TCSC physical experimental equipment and carries out research work on the basic operation characteristics of the physical experimental equipment.
