The braking performance is one of the most important active safety performances of vehicle which plays a key role in the traffic safety.It is necessary to research on braking efficiency and it becomes a hotspot to express the braking performance scientifically and rationally.But the application of traditional design plan will prolong the period of design and increase the cost of design.To that,in this paper firstly discuss the importance of making of analysis of braking performance by the platform virtual environment and national and international research survey,study the structural characteristic and working principle of the hydraulic disc brake for the needs of modeling & simulation and put forward the design idea of using ADAMS/View and EASY5 to co-simulate the braking performance of motorcycle.Main research work done in the paper was listed as following:Introduced the theory of brake system and the kinds of brake simply,analyze the dynamic of braking process of hydraulic disc brake,overview the simulation software ADAMS/View and EASY5 in the application of hydraulic disc brake and analyze the feasibility of co-simulation technique used in hydraulic disc brake.Established the dynamic model of brake caliper mechanical system through the software ADAMS/View,designed the hydraulic system of disc brake by using the software EASY5 and set up a co-simulation model for the hydraulic disc brake system based on the ADAMS and EASY5.Set up the simulation conditions according to the standard required of brake performance test method,made the prediction and evaluation of the braking performance and verify the correctness of the model and the feasibility of the co-simulation method by using the method of braking performance test bench. Studies have shown that the simulation data and experimental results have good consistency and the model have high accuracy.So it comes to a conclusion that the modeling and co-simulation method for the hydraulic disc brake system based on platform ADAMS and EASY5 is feasible and effective.Using their professional modeling and simulation tools to solve and realize complete dynamic simulation of real complex mechanical-hydraulic integrated system according to different parts of the hydraulic disc brake,which provides a new idea of modeling and simulation for such mixed complex system.The research about modeling and simulation of the whole machinery-hydraulic system of hydraulic disc brake based on ADAMS and EASY5 have some practical value;meanwhile,this article provides an important reference for modeling and simulation of the complex mixed systems such as mechanical and hydraulic.Which have the favorable economic value and social benefit.
