Self-repairing technology of metal wear is an innovation technology in the field of surface engineering.Such new technology and new material can form the metal self-repairing layer on the wear surface.The self-repairing layer is used to reduce coefficient of friction and decrease wear of surface,which greatly prolongs the machine lives.The basic components of self-repair material are hydroxyl magnesium, activator and additive.This paper mainly takes the diesel on dredger as research object,applied the self-repairing technology to the dredger,and studied the application effect through the way of combining dredger experiment with lab experiment.The thesis try to find out the effects of the application of metal self-repairing additives by simulating different wear condition such as changed load,speed,time, materials and lubricator.Moreover,the wear resistance capacity of the self-repaired layer in bad working conditions was analyzed.And the load,time,materials and lubricator have significant influence in form of the self-repaired layer except the speed.The greater load and the more obvious of the effect of self-repairing,when the load is large enough,the instantaneous friction heat is great,which is conducive to the formation of layers of metal repair.The self-repairing layer will be gradually formed with the increased wear time,and will not off the surface by stopping the use of the metal repair.In addition,it's difficult to form the repair layer in aqueous medium as such as the materials is kaiserzinn.In certain working conditions,the major components of the metal self-repairing additives will be attached to the surface of the wear with self-healing to form a restoration layer.However,the self-repair capacity is limited,only some micro-holes as well as micro-cracks can complete repair,the larger wear or crack just can be repaired a part.Added the metal self-repairing additives to the diesel engine lubrication system of the dredger,regular oil sampled by spectral analysis,then the curve lines of the changes of every element in the oil with time were obtained.Furthermore,the wear condition of the cylinder was observed when the dredger was not on work in order to find out the effects of the application of metal self-repairing additives.The effect of metal self-additives has more obvious when the diesel engine is non-stop running, and the self-repaired reaction is easy going as the temperature has less change. Furthermore,the lubrication volume also influence the effect of metal self-additives, the larger lubrication volume,the harder self-additives to reach the wear position and resulted in its cannot sufficient repaired the surface of wear position.
