The Three Gorges Shiplift is a complex mechanical system by a number of subsystems which couples with each other. It is unrealistic to do dynamic calculation of the "Shiplift Tower-Ship box -Water sloshing " coupled system directly. Based on the three-dimensional finite element model, the equivalent two-dimensional tandem and many freedom-degrees dynamic model of the Three Gorges Shiplift is founded. Neglecting the relative horizontal displacement between.the gear and rack of the climbing divice, in which there is no tipping rotary degree of freedom existing. So to do the analysis of the horizontal seismic response of the structural, the vertical takeoff and landing movement is separated into various working conditions that the ship box is consolided with the Shiplift tower at different heights. This article study the impact of the sloshing of water, the position of the Ship box and changes in water depth on the seismic response of the main structure of the ship lift systematically. The specific work includes:1. Based on large-scale finite element analysis software ANSYS, the three dimensional finite element model of the four working conditions of the Shiplift is set up. And the dynamic analysis is done.2. According to some basic assumptions, and by the principle of the dynamic characteristics of the three-dimensional finite element model is equal to the dynamic properties of the simplified model, the equivalent two-dimensional tandem and many freedom-degrees dynamic model of the four working conditions of the Three Gorges Dam Shiplift is founded. And the dynamic analysis is done.3. The simplified mechanical model of water sloshing in the ship box is established, and the force of the ship box from the water sloshing is derived.4. To establish the motion equations of the coupled system and to do the seismic response analysis under the ideal fluid assumption and viscous fluid assumption, which is compared with the seismic response when water is under solid assumption. Then the impact of water sloshing and water's viscosity on the seismic response of the shiplift is drawn.5. The seismic response of the four working conditions under the ideal fluid assumption are compared with each other, so as to arrive at the effect of the location of the ship box on the seismic response of the shiplift.6. The seismic response of the working conditions under the different depth of water in the ship box are compared with each other, so as to arrive at the impact of the different water depth on the seismic response of the working conditions of the shiplift. Then the analysis of the mechanism of the impact on seismic response of the shiplift by changes in water depth.
