The economy of China grows fast in recent years,the high-way as the main artery plays an important role in the economy growth.Recently,the fixed investment grows rapidly,so does the high-way construction.Sometimes in order to perfect the high-way's hardware and software infrastructure,accumulating funds through founraising and loan and getting return on investment through constructing toll station is a common way.Now the manual toll collection and the semiautomatic toll collection are the mainstream.But these collection ways have some defects,such as corruption in the collection process,long time to wait for collection,environmental pollution because of idling and abrasion of tires and machines owing to start and stop frequently.In order to solve the problems mentioned-above,electronic communication and automatic control technology are used to improve efficiancy and overcome the drawbacks,the electronic toll collection(ETC) system emerges.As an important part of intelligent tranportation system,ETC becomes more and more important in high-way collcetion.As a way of research,the ETC simulation model play an importan role in research and teaching,so it's necessary to develop an ETC simulation model.This thesis first introduce the status of the ETC's improvement and application and the existed problems.Then introduce the embeded system technology,Dedicate Short Range Communication technology,and the anti-cheating technology and do some research and discussion about the application of these technologies in ETC.At last,design the hardware system using the technologies above mentioned and software system using Microsoft Visual Studio and SQL Server 2000.The concrete research content as follows:(1)The development and application state of domestic and overseas are analyzed. Combine these technologies with the ETC model in high-way simulation platform. Build the hardware system and software system of the ETC model. (2)For the feathures of the hardware system of the ETC model,analyze the lane control system,introduce the stucture of the lane control system and the implemental way of each part.Then realize the lane control system using stepping motor control technology,infrared sensor control technology,and e-tag reader control technology.(3)Developed the ETC software system according to software project developing flow includeing demand analysis,system design,database design and detailed design. The development tool is the Microsoft Visual Studio and the DBMS is the Microsoft SQL Server 2000.(4)For the security of data transmission in ETC,analyze the advantages and disadvantages of the symmetric and asymmetric encryption algorithm,then propose a mixed encrytion algorithm,simulate the algorithm and analyze the results.
