| The technology of the computer and digital electronic and the network had provided formidable impetus for the progress of modern society,and the intelligence was appeared everywhere such as in industrial production and daily life.Along with the development of automobile industry and the ajustment of traffic structure,the request to highway capacity was getting higher and higher.As a result,it could not meet the needs only by means of human monitoring and coordination.An intelligent monitoring equipment was put on the schedule.The theme of this article was the study of traffic monitoring systme based on FPGA,which integrated the functions of video sampling,the image processing,the image buffer,and the ethernet transmission on a very small device.It made the equipment of traffic monitoring much more smaller and convenient,and then remote monitoring according to network comes ture.The system in the article took Cyclone EP3C25 which is the production of Altera as a core,and used MT9V022 CMOS image sensor as the part of video sampling,DM9000A was used to transmit the image data by ethernet.The function of this system was implemented on FPGA,and the image diaplaying on PC was also realized.After introducing the situation of traffic monitoring development and research,the article described the hardware design process in detail from the aspects of scheme determination,chip selection,and the designing of schematic and PCB.The function realized on FPGA was divided into four modules:the video sampling module,the processing and prestoring module,the SDRAM buffering module,and the ethernet transmission module.The working principles of various modules were introducted separately.The realizing way and frame of structure were also narrated from the perspective of VHDL,and illustrated by simulation waveform.At the end of this article, it introduced the method of network data capture and demonstrated the displaying interface.The most important thing is that the whole system was designed by a method of pure hardware circuit,and did not contain Niosâ…¡processor.It made the system have high real-time character and high reliability,which were also the characters of traffic monitoring system.For continuous long time work,the video monitoring system required very high reliability,and then this way of pure hardware design seemed realy necessary. |
