DC-Motor is widely used in controllable electric powered dragging field for its good starting and breaking performance and its capability of timing smoothly in a large scale. Traditional DC timing system is based on complex PID simulation control system which is composed of schism components, so it has deficiency on reliability, flexibility and control ability. Towards DC electromotor being controlled by digital ways, much work has been done by scholars the word over and there are already many achievements in this field. The digital control technology is more and more perfect with time goes on.This paper presents a digital control system using DSP as its main chip to replace the traditional PID simulation control system. This control system can achieve precise digital closed loop control on circuit and seed. It has failure protection ability and is more friendly on man-machine interface. FPGA is used to modulate spring pulse signal so as to improve the capability and stability of the DC timing system. An Ethernet communication module is designed to fit the development of internet, so long-distance control can be achieved. Since Linux operation system provides a complete TCP/IP protocol, it can accomplish the work of system net communication.This paper has first completed the DC timing system's software and hardware design, especially introduced the digital closed loop control on position and speed, and given detailed description about modulating spring pulse signal by FPGA. Then introduced the Ethernet connection module's software and hardware design, in this section this paper gives the method of how to set up and realize an Embedded Linux's software and hardware platform. Finally give the design proposal and the debugging result aimed at system's on-line testing. the debugging result indicated that this system structure was simple, the control was reliable, the extendibility was good, and could achieve the very high control precision, could maintain the fast response and the small over modulation. This paper has also completed the basic function in the communications aspect.Along with the DSP and the FPGA technology's rapidly expand, the digitization of industrial control system including DC timing system will be the control system's trend of modern and the future, Also the modern network will lead this technological development to a new stage on the industrial control equipment's application.
