The paper bases on the project of Dalian Technology Foundation and the cooperative project of Dalian Maritime University with Dalian International Airport. Bird impact is always the great hidden danger to flight safety.The most common method of driving-bird in domestic and abroad airports is using audio.However,there are some disadvantages in the driving-bird devices at present,such as small capacity, single audio format and constant timing mode,and all these disadvantages restrict the effect of driving-bird greatly.According the disadvantages above,based on analyzing the present situation and researching the condition of birds and the using condition of driving-bird devices in Dalian International Airport,a new driving-bird project which bases on wireless communication technology and embedded technology is proposed.The main works are as follows:firstly,LPC2132 is used for the control chip.The high fidelity amplify playing can be implemented by high SNR,low power,high tone quality digital amplifier basing on the D-Class amplify technology of VS1003 audio chip.The driving-bird devices' disadvantages such as small capacity and single audio format will be solved by using SD card.Meanwhile,by using SD card the audio update of driving-bird devices can be more convenient.Secondly,the communication protocol between driving-bird vehicles and driving-bird devices has been designed in this paper,the driving-bird console of driving-bird vehicles has been applied,and the intelligent command to driving-bird devices from driving-bird vehicles can be implemented.The commands include working on particular playing mode,particular playing time and particular driving-bird sound.The driving-bird vehicles can command driving-bird devices precisely and point to point which is a creative point of this paper.Summing up the above,the software and hardware designs of the driving-bird system and related communication protocol designs have been done in this paper and meet the requirements by laboratory testing and field testing.This system has been applied in Dalian International Airport at present.It has been approved and accepted by Dalian International Airport.This product not only lets driving-bird devices work on intelligent working mode,but also has the low cost,good performance and simple operation characteristics.So the driving-bird system in this paper has good application value and market prospect.
