The health of the elderly is of more and more importance as the aging of population.People want the elderly to get health monitor without getting out their home with the developing of science and technology and people's life.In order to achieve this,this paper designs a multi-parameter monitor that can be remote accessed using S3C2410,a low-power,ARM920T core, 32-bit embedded processer as controller.According to the functional requirement,this paper develops the entirely system plan of the monitor.The whole system consists of processer module,signal collecting module,memory module,network,LCD display that cooperate each other.This paper states each hardware module in detail,and places emphasis on discussing of designing circuit to sample,enlarge and filter the signal.The paper also discusses the software in detail.As the requirement of distribution of tasks and resources,Linux operation system with its bootloader and file system are ported on the hardware platform.The software designs the device driver and application software.Porting of QT/Embedded makes the user interface more friendly,touch-screen makes the user more easily to input,and embedded Web Server makes it easy to access remotely.As widely using of embedded equipment,power control has become a hotspot in embedded technology region.Based on research of that the CPU clock frequency take effect on power consumption,this paper a method of low-power under Linux based on dynamic changing clock frequency,the test result indicates that the method can take effect on reducing power consumption..This remote medical monitor can take care on pulse wave,ECG,blood pressure,etc.The datas are stored in local memories,displayed on LCD, and,doctors or family members can monitor the patient with Web Server on PC by internet.When exceptional circumstances occur,the system could send short messages to particular phone by GPRS network.The remote medical monitor this paper designs has the advantage of friendly user interface,convenient operation,rich functions,easy expansibility and low power,etc.
