Since ancient times, people have longed for living in the places, which are surrounded by mountain and water. The development of urban construction and artificial water bodies' development reflects the wishes that people want to improve the quality of life. The existence of artificial water bodies improve the living conditions with good air quality as well as people's calmness emotions. At the same time, the construction of artificial water bodies also improve the city's image. Therefore, the importance of the artificial water bodies for the modern city is self-evident.The construction of artificial lakes and the like in residential area have been rapid developed. The construction of artificial water bodies are aiming for providing a better urban living space and enhancing the competitiveness of cities, but with the growth of construction of artificial water bodies, many problems have risen. As a result, without natural waters' self-purification ability, this kind of artificial water bodies can not be timely and effective processed, some indicators of this water bodies are bound to keep high and eutrophication, and the water bodies finally become black and with lots of mosquitoes. In contrast, the living environment has been undermined ultimately.Based on current developments' situation of artificial water bodies, this paper analyses the changing laws and the causes of deterioration of water quality through monitoring and analyzing the indicators of water quality. In the analysis basis of water quality changing processes, the author generalizes and sums up the changing laws and processing modes of city's artificial water bodies. Finally, gives some recommendations in water processing technologies for deterioration of water quality and proposes comprehensive and systematic of the urban artificial water bodies' development directions as well as the measures can be taken.
