This paper mainly discusses the application of PXI bus technology in the opto-electronic equipment maintenance and detection system. And it makes emphasis on the research about the application in the optical detection system. At present, the detection of the optical performance mainly depends on the workers' operation because there is no automatic detection equipment. Therefore, a set of automatic maintenance and detection system based on PXI technology is designed in this paper. And it can complete the 12-indicator detection about the optical performance automatically.There are five chapters in all. Firstly, it introduces the present status of the opto-electronic equipment maintenance and detection system both at home and abroad, which is followed by the study meaning of the automatic detection system. Secondly, it introduces both the system, namely, PXI bus technology and LabVIEW. Thirdly, both the composition of the system and their hardware completion are explained in detail. Fourthly it introduces the software composition, interfaces and image processing algorithms. Fifthly, some crucial technologies that are used in the system are introduced. Finally, it makes a conclusion and analyzes. Its disadvantages and the work are still need to be done.
