The security, economy and the high quality of power grid is the purpose which the power system pursues, where the reactive voltage's control is very important. To ensure the system's operation, the power grid's automatic voltage control (AVC) system plays a very important role in achieving the overall optimal distribution of reactive voltage.After the analysis and comparison of AVC system technology in the world, the general design idea of"decomposition-coordination"is used in Hebei power grid based on the theoretical algorithm and the project experience, and a set of complete automatic voltage control system is finally developed. The system can include 500kV factory and station, and coordinate the grid-province-regional three-level voltage control system. Therefore the control to the large-scale power grid is effectively promoted.
