As a new-type of Permeable Structure, permeable pile groin can be adopted in field like governing stream channel and course by techniques communities at home and aboard. However, natural stream channel has changed as a result of build a permeable pile groin, leading to its partial stream segment upstream become on-way depth of water increased, give rise to discharge capacity of stream channel and upper pool elevation arise adjusting and changing. In order to determine the height of dike and the interval of groin, researching calculation of water surface profiles on Single-row permeable pile groin upstream have its practical significance.In this article, nomothetic and generalized current regional mode on permeable pile groin are established, encoding they features provide Computational Method for distribution of the flow rate. By the methods of nomothetic current regional mode, estimated formulas for zone of backwater upstream and qualitative analysis for water surface upstream were given. By the methods of nomothetic current regional mode, piecemeal calculation of for water surface upstream are proposed. Take engineering example to calculate the water surface profiles on permeable pile groin upstream whose hydraulic characteristics was analyzied in the last place. Research indicates that partial stream water level upstream become increased after building of the permeable pile groin. The length of the zone of backwater upstream depends to effective length of groin and flow quantity, value of backwater depends to block water characteristics of permeable pile groin. Affects between block water and water distribution depends to ratio of projection length of permeable pile groin to Stabilize river width.
