With the development of large-scale, high efficiency, high reliability of marine, many new management concepts such as empty cabin, management, control integration and remote fault terminal are put forward. Traditional control systems have been unable to adapt to these new management concepts and tools. Therefore, the ship's automatic control system should have much higher performance, such as digital, integrated, network-based, standardized and intelligent performance.Customizing software and hardware, embedded systems can meet the requirements of complex control system. Embedded systems, not only have high performance of reliability and real-time in communications and data storage but also have more flexible system structure and become more facilitation in development environment.This review takes the marine power station as a control object. Firstly, it details the development history and actuality of marine power plant automation, puts forward the plan of marine power station based on embedded Linux operating system which regulates frequency and load device, and then designs embedded controller ,which adopts to design core board, as well as the interface board. And then, according to system demand, it configures and compiles the Bootloader and the RT-Linux kernel, as well as the basic file system. Based on completing hardware and software platform, RT-Linux-based applications were designed. The modular programs contain bottom serial communication module, data acquisition module and control module. Secondly, it completes the entire system integration of software programs. By validating simulation devices of marine power plant, it realizes paralleling control and frequency load adjustment of generating units.First, the thesis focuses on embedded technology, open source, stabile Linux kernel. In order to solve real-time problems, the real-time kernel patch of RT-Linux is added to the Linux kernel. On that basis, core is cut and compiled so as to design basic driver device. Through transplanting, embedded controller is ultimately formed, on which based hardware platform of marine power plant control system is established. Second, the application in the control of marine power plant achieves real-time acquisition as well as frequency load adjustment.Practice shows that frequency load regulation device of marine power plant not only provides a strong technical support to safe operation of marine power plant, but also supplies a good techniques platform to automation and modern management of marine power plant.
