This thesis focus on the passive shutdown system of the fast breeder reactor.At first,a magnetic joint assemblies for passive shutdown system in a fast reactor was designed according to ASME code.Secondly,various working conditions for the magnetic joint assemblies were analysed,hence possible loads were summarized.Stress analysis was performed on the magnetic joint assemblies with ANSYS software.Finally,the stress intensity and fatigue intensity were evaluated according to the standards of class-1 equipment in ASME code.The results showed that,the stress intensity and fatigue intensity of the magnetic joint assemblies in normal condition meet ASME code.
