A floating nuclear power plant(FNPP)is a movable floating offshore platform equipped with a nuclear reactor and power generation system.Nowadays,people attach more importance to the living environment than ever before.Compared with costly and polluting fossil energy and other new energy sources such as wind and solar energy that are subject to external conditions,clean,efficient and flexible nuclear power generation has attracted more and more attention from governments around the world.Nuclear power plant can be divided into onshore nuclear power plant and floating nuclear power plant according to site selection type.Compared with onshore nuclear power plants,FNPP have become more and more promising due to their unique advantages.In recent years,FNPP have become a more and more popular research object.This paper proposes a FNPP containment vessel compartment design,establishes the finite element model based on the design.The structural strength of the structure under various operating conditions are calculated by using the direct analysis approach.Based on relevant codes,the strength check and stress evaluation of the structure has been done.A simple process of FNPP strength check has been summarized.The work provides a reference on structural design and strength check of FNPP containment vessel compartment.Firstly,according to the general layout diagram of the Russian FNPP-"Akademik Lomonosov" and relevant literature,a FNPP containment vessel compartment structure is designed,and the typical working conditions of the structure and boundary conditions that should be set during mechanical calculation are analyzed.Then,this paper studies the method of stress evaluation of nuclear facilities pressure vessels under ASME code,and summarizes a set of structural strength check process for nuclear facilities pressure vessels according to the classification of stress state under ASME code,strength check method and the stress strength point processing method based on shell element proposed in this paper.Then,the finite element model of the structure is established according to the geometric model and material parameters of the FNPP containment vessel compartment,and the strength of the containment vessel compartment is calculated by using the direct analysis approach according to the calculation conditions and boundary conditions.The calculation results under each working condition are obtained.According to the allowable stress value of the material and the strength check process summarized above,the structural strength of the containment vessel compartment structure under various working conditions is checked and its stress is evaluated.In this paper,based on relevant codes and finite element software ABAQUS,the flow of direct analysis approach for structural strength of typical FNPP containment vessel compartment is established.The work can provide reference for the subsequent design of the structure and the stress evaluation of the structure.
