On the foundation of comparing existing single-phase fault location methods,this paper proposes AC signal injecting method,DC signal injecting method and synthesized fault location of AC and DC signal combining each other's advantages,according to the characteristic of 10 KV distribution network.The merit of DC method is that it is not affected by ground resistance and ground capacity.AC method has many advantages such as convenient detection and fine control.Synthesized fault location of AC and DC signal definite fault region,and then definite fault position.The method proposed in this paper can effectively deal with single-phase grounding on 10 KV distribution networks,which are verified in experiment on spot.The paper expounds the principle of fault location method first,and then presents the software design and the hardware design about the systemic detection equipment generally.The control of the hardware equipment is designed and accomplished by the advanced C8051F310 single chip.
