Statistics show the number of the deaths caused by motor vehicles in the traffic accidents,accounting for various types of death,are the first.In today's society, Automobile collision's safety issues is getting more and more attention,and in the process of vehicle collisions,the highest probability of occurrence is the front,the first relates to the front bumper of the collision,Therefore,the study of bumper collision and collision properties in the process of energy absorption characteristics, for improving the safety of vehicle collisions is of great significance.In this paper,based on a certain type of car bumper system size,using CATIA's surface modeling functions,I establish the 3D-model of bumper system and the pendulum.Then mesh the model through Hypermesh.And select ANSYS/LS-DYNA as the tool for impact test simulation,the main influencing factors for simulation modeling are analyzed and put forward the specific values of these factors method. Using the before and after processor and solver of ANSYS/LS-DYNA to define the finite element model of the bumper collision and solve.Analyze the dynamic response of the crash test of the bumper system and evaluate the crashworthiness of the bumper system.Summed up by the bumper system in the post-impact pendulum displacement, stress and deformation changes in the law,its conclusions in line with the dynamics of the relevant theory,this paper established that the collision of the finite element model and a true and reliable simulation results.Bumper made of structural optimization methods,in accordance with the method proposed by the structural optimization of the bumper to improve the crashworthiness of the bumper.The main contents of this paper are as follows:1,It introduced the present condition and the experiment methods of the bumper's capability of impact,summarized the research method of automobile passive security,and the latest development state,also introduced the software generally used in simulation.2.,The theory of the explicit nonlinear finite element which is largely adopted in the crash simulation software is introduced.3,In this research,the 3D-model of drummer was built in CATIA,and then transmitted it and the 3D-model of bumper into Hyper-mesh to form finiteâ…¢element model.It also defined the basic parameter.4,According to the regulation of ECE R42,we accomplished the process of simulation for the crash between drummer and bumper,gained valuable simulation curve and found the standard can not be satisfied.5,Optimized the bumper's structure,changed the parameters of the bumper's structure to make the bumper satisfy the standard.
